Wendel, the Person:
In his many years in the
client-centric profession, Wendel has devoted time to helping those in our
community; involved in fund raisers for local non-profit organizations,
including the local hospital; personally delivered food baskets, clothing and gifts to local families in
need. He is a past Vice-President of the local ratepayers'
association and was also involved with other sub-committees within his community of
residence. Wendel is a past Chair of the School Council for one of
the local high schools; and past President & past Chair of the Parent-Teacher
Association and School Council, respectively, of other local schools.
For a number of years, he participated in a very unique
Canada-wide entrepreneurial program (sponsored by the Bank of Montreal and
The Learning Partnership) as mentor and business partner to
about 100 students and teachers at
a number of the local schools. Wendel's other personal interest include
participating in and coaching sports, wine-making,
photography, property design and refurbishing, and computer technology.
